7. Qur'an & The Bible
1. Adam erected the sacred Kaba stone in Mecca.
Surah 2:127 - And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations
of the house, (they prayed): "Our Lord! Accept from us (this act)"
[A note following 2:127 explains that when Adam and Eve were expelled
from "Heaven", they went west to the present site of the Kaba stone in
Mecca where Adam erected a simple building with the black stone in one
corner. After Noah's flood the building was lost beneath the sands, but
Abraham and Ishmael uncovered the original foundation and stone and rebuilt
the edifice as this surah indicates.]
2. Islam is the only true religion, Christians and Jews knew it, and
there is no record to prove otherwise.
Surah 3:19 - The (true) religion in the site of Allah is Islam.
Those who (formerly) received the Scripture disagreed among themselves
through jealousy only after knowledge came to them.
Surah 45:4 - (O Prophet), say to them… "Bring me a book revealed
before this, or produce some remnants of knowledge (in support of your
beliefs) if you are truthful.
Surah 48:28 - He it is Who has sent His Messenger with guidance
and the religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion.
3. Yet the Qur'an reveals another book, its remnants of knowledge,
and that Muhammad's was only a reminder.
Surah 6:83 - We gave it [revelation, political authority, judgement]
to Abraham against his people. We raise to degrees of wisdom whom We will.
Surah 6:84 - And we bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob; each of
them we guided; and Noah did we guide aforetime; and of his seed (We guided)
David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron.
Surah 6:85 - And Zachariah and John and Jesus and Elias [Elijah].
Each one was of the righteous.
Surah 6:86 - And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one
of them did We prefer above all creatures (or nations).
Surah 6:89 - Those are they to whom We gave the scripture and
command and prophethood.
Surah 6:90 - Those are they whom Allah guides, so follow their
guidance. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): "I ask of you no reward for it.
Assuredly, it is nothing but a Reminder to (His) creatures.
Surah 17:55 - And We preferred some of the prophets above others;
and unto David We gave the Psalms.
Surah 33:23 - We verily gave Moses the Book; so be not you in
doubt of his receiving it; and We appointed it a guidance for the Children
of Israel.
Surah 34:10 - And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying):
"O you with hills and birds, sing the praises of Allah (with David)!
Surah 37:123 - And Elias was of those sent to warn.
Surah 41:43 - O Prophet, nothing is said to you that has not
already been said to the Messengers before you.
Surah 42:13 - He has ordained for you the same Way of Religion…
that (O Muhammad) We have now revealed to you, and which We had already
enjoined on Abraham and Moses and Jesus…
Surah 46:12 - Yet before it there came the Book of Moses as a
guide and a mercy, and this Book has been revealed to confirm it in the
Arabic language…
Surah 87:18,19 - All this is contained in earlier scriptures;
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
[A note following 6:90 states that "Islam is not a departure from
God's way with mankind, and the Prophet is simply sent to remind humanity
of the message taught by earlier Prophets". Another note after 46:12
reiterates that "there was Torah before Qur'an as a Book of Guidance,
and Qur'an endorses the previous books."]
Where nothing in biblical scripture states that Jews or Christians are
to follow any other law, scripture, or prophet and emphatically warns against
false prophets, these surahs certainly indicate that all Muslims should,
at the very least, be reading the biblical messages of specific earlier
prophets listed here. This is all the more important due to the credibility
afforded these records by both religious and secular sources. If their
collective revelations corroborate any message over or against that of
Muhammad's, one must assume that Muhammad has issued a flawed reminder
and the divine nature of his revelations comes into question.
4. The Qur'an claims its own unique credibility while basing it on
biblical credibility and accounts.
Surah 10:37 - This Qur'an could not have been invented (by one)
apart from Allah, but it is a confirmation of that (series of revelations)
which was before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there
is no doubt - from the Lord of the Worlds.
Surah 10:38 - Or do they say he (the Prophet) invented it? Say:
"Then bring a Surah like it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can other
than Allah, if you speak the truth.
Surah 21:133 - Has not a clear sign come to them of all that
was in the former books (of revelation)?
Surah 28:51 - And now We have caused the Word to reach them,
that perhaps they may give heed.
Surah 37:37 - Nay, but he brought the truth and he confirmed
those sent (before him).
And after recounting the biblical story of Moses and Pharoah:
Surah 10:91 - Now (do you believe)?
Surah 10:94 - If you are in doubt regarding what We have revealed
to you, then ask those who have been reading the Book before you.
[A note following 10:38 states that disbelievers reject the Qur'an,
"the
divine Reminder", simply because they cannot understand it. A note
after 28:51 says "Now that Word is brought to their own doors, in their
own Arabic tongue, by a man of their own race and family…"]
References to "the Book" and earlier revelations are all the more odd
since biblical credibility is discredited as indicated in point #4 above
and also #1 in the chapter Jews & Christians. And yet the Qur'an is
rampant with Bible replication, and accounts of its personalities are given
and repeated throughout for Adam and Eve, Moses, Noah, Abraham and Sarah,
Lot, David and Solomon, Jonah, and Joseph among others. In fact, references
to these characters alone comprise around a thousand verses, a major portion
of the Qur'an's content.
5. The real Gospels were lost.
Surah 5:14 - And with those who say: "Surely, we are Christians,
We made a covenant, but they forgot a part of that whereof they were admonished.
[A note following 5:14 states that the Christians became widely scattered
from persecution and the "Christian Covenant which was given by Jesus
to his apostles was lost in the process, and although a variety of gospels
were written by various hands, they contained only an oblique reference
to the fact that God's messages to man had not come to an end, and that
the Comforter, [Muhammad], would come to reestablish monotheism."]
6. Israel represents the murderer Cain, and Islam the victim Abel.
Surah 5:32 - For that cause we ordained for the Children of Israel
that whosoever kills a human being… it shall be as if he had killed all
mankind…
[Notes prior to and after this surah state that the story of Cain and
Abel represents Israel who rebelled against the Lord, slew the righteous,
was jealous when Allah transferred His favor to another nation, believed
they were the chosen yet denied Jesus and Muhammad, and "have earned
the astonishment and condemnation of all intelligent people".]
7. Qur'anic revelations are described as expressions of intuition,
knowledge, and physical realization.
Surah 6:104 - Proofs have come to you from your Lord, so whoso
sees, it is for his own good, and whoso is blind, is blind to his own hurt.
Surah 6:116 - If you obeyed most of those on earth they would
mislead you far from Allah's way. They follow not but an opinion, and they
do but guess.
[A note following 6:104 says just as we have eyes to see the physical,
that Allah has given us "eyes of the heart, faculties of intuition and
physical realization which enable us to recognize Him in a way which is
direct and leaves no room for doubt."]
Though the true Holy Spirit is indeed our "eyes of the heart", it does
not rely on mere feelings and experience. All people have opinions based
on degrees of these, but is that from God, Satan, or themselves? The only
way to avoid guessing is to also prove all things through a credible Word.
8. Muhammad declares his 10 Commandments.
Surah 6:156 - Lest you should say: "The Scripture was revealed
only to two peoples (Christian and Jews) before us, and we in fact were
unaware of what they read.
Surah 6:157 - Now there has come to you a clear proof from your
Lord, a guidance and a mercy; and who does greater wrong than he who denies
the revelations of Allah, and turns away from them?
[A note after 6:151-153 states that these are Muhammad's version of
the "famous Ten Commandments".]
Does the reiteration of them in the Qur'an become a clear proof for
the credibility of the Qur'an, or a clear proof of the credibility of the
Scripture where they were first revealed? Mimicry is not proof of revelation.
9. The Qur'an presents its signs of the endtimes.
Surah 6:158 - In the day when one of the signs from your Lord
comes, its belief will do no good to a soul which previously believed not,
nor in its belief earned good (by works).
Surah 47:18 - Do they then only await the Resurrection, that
it should come upon them unawares? And the beginnings thereof have already
come.
Surah 75:7,8,9 - …when the sight is confounded… and the moon
is buried in darkness… and the sun and the moon are joined together.
[A note following 6:158 states that the signs of the end of the world
that would prove Islam are: "the appearance of a Smoke, the appearance
of a beast creeping upon the earth, the appearance of the Antichrist (dajjal),
the rising of the sun from the west, the appearance of Gog and Magog, and
the appearance of a Fire in Aden." Another note after 47:18 describes
the signs of the Final Hour as "the coming of the last Prophet Muhammad,
the split of the moon into two halves, the famine and the black cloud which
will appear."]
The moon has already been split into two halves. See point #6 in the
chapter Muhammad.
10. The Qur'an replicates biblical messages.
Surah 7:40 - …for them the gates of Heaven will not be opened
nor will they enter the Garden until the camel goes through the eye of
the needle. [Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25]
Surah 7:50 - And the dwellers of the Fire cry out to the dwellers
of the Garden: "Pour some water upon us, or some of that wherewith Allah
has provided you! [Luke 16:24]
Surah 16:77 - And the matter of the Hour (of Doom) is (as short,
and as imminent) as a twinkling of the eye, or even quicker. [I Corinthians
15:52]
Surah 16:78,79 - Do they not look at the birds made subservient
(to God's Laws) in the sky's air? Nothing holds them up but Allah. [Luke
12:24]
Surah 20:102 - On the day when the Trumpet will be sounded. [I
Corinthians 15:52]
Surah 21:47 - Even though it be the weight of one mustard seed…
[Matthew
17:20, Luke 17:6]
Surah 22:47 - Truly a day with Allah is as a thousand years of
what you reckon. [2 Peter 3:8]
Surah 23:61 - Those race for the good things, and they shall
win them in the race. [I Corinthians 9:24]
Surah 23:78 - And it is He who has originated for you hearing
(ears), and sight (eyes,) and hearts. [Acts 28:26,27]
Surah 27:10 - And throw down your staff! But when he saw it moving
as it were a serpent, he turned to flee headlong… [Exodus 4:3]
Surah 30:20,21,22 - He created you of the dust…He created for
you helpmeets (wives)…and of his signs is the creation of the heavens and
the earth… [Genesis 1,2]
Surah 32:4 - Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth…in
six days. [Genesis 2:1,2]
Surah 35:35 - Who, of His grace, has installed us in the mansions
of eternity… [John 14:2]
Surah 40:7 - The (angels) who bear the (Divine) Throne and those
around it, all are glorifying their Lord with His praises. [Revelation
5:11,12]
Surah 54:37 - They even asked of him his guests for an ill purpose.
Then we blinded their eyes… [Genesis 19:5,11]
Surah 59:17 - And the consequence for both will be that they
are in the Fire, to remain there forever. [Revelation 20:10]
Surah 79:42,44 - They question you (Muhammad) about the hour
of doom: "When will it be? …Your Lord alone knows when it will come. [Matthew
24:36, Mark 13:32]
Surah 80:34,35,36,37 - On the day when a man flees from his brother.
His mother and his father, and his wife and his children; for each one…will
have enough concern of his own. [Luke 12:53]
Surah 17:44 - There is not a single thing that is not chanting
His praise… [Luke 19:40]
[A note following this last surah explains that Muhammad once held pebbles
in his hand that praised God.]
11. The Qur'an recognizes Canaan and Jerusalem as under God-given Jewish
authority.
Surah 7:129 - "It may be that your Lord is going to destroy your
adversary and make you inheritors in the earth, that He may see how you
behave.
Surah 7:137 - And We caused the people who were despised to inherit
the eastern parts of the land and the western parts thereof which We had
blessed. And the fair word of the Lord was fulfilled for the Children of
Israel because of their endurance.
[A note following 7:129 states that the Israelites would be given authority,
kingship, and material power in Canaan after Joshua's conquest of Jerusalem.]
12. The Qur'anic concept of forgiveness contrasts with Jesus' "seventy
times seven" (Matthew 18:22).
Surah 9:80 - Whether you ask forgiveness for them or not (their
sin is unforgivable); if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah
will not forgive them.
13. The most convoluted scripture in history. (Intended as humor? Not
likely, but note the last line.)
Surah 10:24 - The likeness of the life of the world is that of
water which We send down from the sky, then the plants of ornaments and
is embellished, and her people think they have power over her, the earth
of which men and cattle eat mingle with it, until, when the earth has taken
on her Our command comes down upon it by night or day, and We make it as
reaped corn as if it had not flourished the previous day. Thus
We make plain Our revelations for a people who reflect.
14. Islam is presented as a universal religion, unlike Christianity.
Surah 10:47 - For every nation there is a messenger. And when
their messenger comes, justice is done among them; they are not wronged.
[A note following 10:47 states that the various messages are culturally
tailored to social and ritual practice, but Islam is a tolerant and universal
doctrine unconfined to one people or period as is Christianity and Judaism.]
This social design underscores the appeal of Islam to Arabs as Mormonism,
an "Americanized" Christianity, appeals to some Americans. However, many
previous points here disclaim Islam's tolerance where Christianity's tolerance
is best underscored by the apostle Peter's statements in Acts 10:34-36.
15. The Qur'an claims an unrighteous son of Noah who was left behind
in the flood and drowned.
Surah 11:42 - So the ark floated with them on waves like mountains,
and Noah cried out to his son who stood apart: "O my son! Ride with us,
and do not be with the disbelievers!
Surah 11:43 - He replied: "I shall seek refuge in a mountain,
which will protect me from the water. Noah cried: "None shall be protected
this day from Allah's judgement, except those to whom He has shown mercy.
And the wave came between them, and he was among the drowned.
Surah 11:46 - [The Lord] replied: "O Noah! He was not
of your family; he was of unrighteous conduct.
[A note following 11:46 names the other sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth
who boarded the ark, but no name was mentioned for the lost son.]
16. Noah's wife was an unrighteous woman who went to hell.
Surah 66:10 - Allah has given as example to the disbelievers
the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were married to two of Our righteous
servants, but they deceived them…
[A note following 66:10 says the Noah's wife "used to tell the people
that he was a madman."]
When it comes to the personal projects of men, I thought all wives did
that! However, the Bible gives no such indications for Noah's wife.
17. The Qur'an tells how Abraham offers his son - Ishmael - for
sacrifice, and Ishmael consents.
Surah 37:102 - And when (his son) was old enough to walk with
him, (Abraham) said: "O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must
sacrifice you, so look, what think you? He said: "O my father! Do that
which you are commanded. Allah willing, you shall find me of the steadfast.
[A note following 37:102 reveals the son as Ishmael. It also claims
that "the whole thing is symbolical" since God does not require
such sacrifice.]
This lacks credibility for several reasons. One is that the much earlier
biblical accounts reiterated here profess that it was Isaac. Secondly,
it is obvious that the greater sacrifice would have been Abraham's long
awaited son by his own wife Sarah rather than Ishmael, the son of his wife's
slave Hagar, and which is only more compelling if it is a symbolical gesture.
Thirdly, the biblical account that the young child was unaware of what
was transpiring is far more credible than him actually giving his blessings
to his own sacrifice.
18. So what does Islam actually teach about sacrifice?
Surah 22:34 - And for every nation We have appointed a ritual
for sacrifice so that they should mention the name of Allah over the beasts
of cattle which He has provided for them.
Surah 22:37 - (Note it well that) neither their flesh nor their
blood shall reach Allah. But it is your piety (and veneration) that reaches
Him.
[A note after 22:37 states that "it was a pagan fantasy that Allah
could be appeased by blood sacrifice. But Allah does accept the offering
of our hearts, and as a symbol of such, some visible institution is necessary."]
Actually, this is a similar understanding to Judeo-Christian beliefs:
blood represents life. The Qur'an derides the whole idea of God sacrificing
His son Jesus though it represents eternal life and it follows the concept
described here including the "offering of His heart".
19. Islam, not Christian polytheism, is the religion of Abraham.
Surah 16:123 - Then We revealed to you (O Muhammad) saying: "Follow
the religion of Abraham, the upright in faith; he was not of the polytheists.
20. The Muslim sabbath is Friday. The Jewish sabbath has no viability.
Surah 16:124 - The Sabbath was ordained only for those who disagreed
(as to it's observance)…
[A note following 16:124 states that the biblical Sabbath had nothing
to do with Abraham, and it was only in Mosaic law because of "Israel's
hardness of heart". Christians and Jews will be judged for their sabbath
"dispute", but Muslims are emancipated from the former sabbath restrictions.]
21. Islam rejects the unjust doctrine of "original sin".
Surah 20:121 - They both ate its fruit, and so their nakedness
appeared to them… Thus Adam disobeyed his Lord, and went astray.
[A note after 20:121 rejects the biblical doctrine that man is inherently
evil for it cannot be just that succeeding generations are held accountable
for Adam's sin. In the Islamic vision, it is only "man's cultural environment
which may misguide him".]
22. Then Islam acknowledges that man does suffer for his own inherent
sin and the previous sins of others.
Surah 18:54 - But man is , more than anything, contentious.
Surah 28:42 - And We made a curse to follow them in this world,
and on the Day of Resurrection they will be among the hateful.
Surah 30:41 - Corruption has appeared on land and sea because
of the evil which men's hands have earned…
Surah 34:72 - …And man assumed it [willful responsibility]. But
he has proved a tyrant and a fool.
[A note following 28:42 states that when power and patronage causes
a man's fall, the "curses of many generations follow those whose oppressions
and wrongdoing spoiled the fair face of God's earth". A note after
Surah 30:41 says that "all mischief or corruption is introduced by Evil,
viz., arrogance, selfishness, etc." Another note following Surah 30:57
(not listed) says "there is no excuse for anyone to plead that he could
not do good or was forced to evil by his circumstances and surroundings".]
Sounds like original sin, doesn't it? And yet this contradictory evidence
is ignored in the previous point. Hadith - Sahih Muslim 6757 states that
"there
is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devils)"
including Muhammad. In other words, Islam has incorporated the concept
of original sin within the context of a devil living amongst all of us.
23. The "jinn" are demons created separate from man.
Surah 11:119 - This word of your Lord shall be fulfilled: "I
will fill Hell with jinns and men altogether.
Surah 15:27 - And the jinn did We create aforetime of flaming
fire.
Surah 51:55 - I created the jinn and humankind only that they
might worship Me.
Surah 55:14,15 - He created man of clay like the potter's, and
then jinn He created of smokeless fire.
Muslim and non-Muslim sources have described the jinn as inhuman with
an evil nature, a corrupting influence on man, and the seed of which Satan
was head. In Islam, they are below men and angels. The jinn are created
from fire, man from dust (or clay), and angels from light. It is generally
recognized that these demons, or demi-gods, come from ancient folklore
and are not fallen angels. A Muslim confirmed that in pre-Islamic Arabia,
the jinn were spirits who were worshipped and had the ability to inflict
natural disasters like famine and disease. Though most Muslims have a hard
time explaining jinn, their professed origin and background makes it obvious
what they represent.
24. The jinn hear the Qur'an and confirm its truth to others.
Surah 46:29 - And recall the event (O Muhammad) when We brought
to you a group of the jinn so that they might listen to the Qur'an… and
when the recitation was over, they returned to their people as warners.
Surah 46:30 - They said to them: "O our people! We have just
listened to a Book that has been sent down after Moses. It confirms what
came before it, and it guides to the Truth and to a Straight Road.
Surah 72:1,2 - Say (O Muhammad): "It has been revealed that a
company of Jinn gave ear, and they said: We have heard a wonderful Qur'an…
so we shall believe in it and we shall not join (in worship) any gods with
our Lord.
[A note following 72:2 states that the jinn were present during one
of Muhammad's morning prayers but he did not see them. The previous verses
revealed the event to him.]
It is disconcerting here that the jinn are presented as a people, as
converts of Muhammad, and as those who attest to the truth of the Qur'an.
What's wrong with this picture? Would they not be the embodiment of untruth?
And as such, would they not declare that another such as Jesus Christ should
not be recognized in faith or prayers? (See 72:18 in the next point.)
25. The jinn speak their witness.
Surah 72:9 - We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations,
to (steal) a hearing; but any who listens now will find a flaming fire
watching him in ambush.
Surah 72:11 - And among us there are righteous folk and among
us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules.
Surah 72:18 - And the places of worship are only for Allah, so
do not pray to anyone along with Allah.
Surah 72:24 - At length, when they behold the scourge with which
they are threatened they will know which side had the less powerful protector
and which was fewer in numbers.
26. Creatures and objects other than man had a conscious free will,
but refused it in lieu of God's will.
Surah 34:72 - Surely We offered the trust unto the heavens and
the earth, but they shrank from bearing it and were afraid of it.
Surah 41:11 - Then He comprehended in His design the sky… He
said to it and to the earth: "Come (into being) both of you, willingly
or unwillingly. They answered: "We do come willingly.
[A note after 34:72 explains that "The Heavens, the Earth, and the
Mountains, i.e. other creatures of God, besides man, refused to undertake
a Trust or a responsibility…In saying that they refused, we imply a will,
but we limit it by the statement that they did not undertake to be given
a choice between good and evil…which would give them far more happiness
than a faculty of choice, with their imperfect knowledge."]
The concept of nature having a conscious will of its own is an obvious
holdover and mainstay of pagan beliefs that are still held today. We can
assume that pagans recognize a beauty and complexity to the universe that
suggests intelligent design, so they reject the secularist notion of random
coincidence. And yet they don't believe in God, so they must attribute
that intelligence to nature itself. It is odd for the Qur'an to retain
such a perspective while it declares God's design over the universe.
27. The universe is a greater creation than man.
Surah 40:57 - Surely the creation of the heavens and the earth
is a greater thing than the creation of mankind; but most of mankind know
it not.
This is surprising if we accept that man was created in God's image
[Genesis 1:26], and such would be far greater than the non-conscious universe.
The concept of a greater universe would, however, fit the pagan beliefs
in the previous point.
28. God (and his partners) did not rest on the seventh day after creation.
Surah 50:38 - And verily We created the heavens and the earth,
and all that is between them, in six days, and never were We touched by
fatigue.
[A note following 50:38 refutes the idea of God having rested on the
seventh day and states "it is out of the question that He would be tired
and rested."]
Would God have rested because he was tired, or as an example to man?
The surah appears to be a personal, simplistic, and flawed challenge to
Jewish scripture itself - hardly the substance of divine revelations.
29. Asking forgiveness for an unbeliever is not allowed.
Surah 60:4 - We renounce you; enmity and hate will reign between
us until you believe in Allah only except Abraham's saying to his father:
"I shall implore Allah to forgive you…"
[A note following 60:4 states that Abraham was prevented from imploring
this for his father since "forgiveness of a disbeliever is not permitted."]
30. Verses that show depth of compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional
love.
Matthew 5:44 - Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you.
Matthew 5:46 - If you love only those who love you, what good
is that? Even sinners do as much.
Luke 23:34 - Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they
know not what they do."
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave His only
begotten Son…
John 11:35 - Jesus wept.
Romans 9:2,3 - My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and unending
grief for my people… I would be willing to be forever cursed - cut off
from Christ - if that would save them.
Romans 12:14 - If people persecute you because you are a Christian,
don't curse them; pray that God will bless them.
Romans 13:10 - Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.
I Corinthians 13:13 - There are three things that will endure
- faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.
Surah ?
This entire study has been about unique elements found within the Qur'an.
However, once you've read through it, you'll find something conspicuously
missing. While I read a lot of promises for heaven or hell and titles of
a compassionate Allah in the Qur'an, I found no verses such as the ones
above. The term love only showed up in four verses in my translation
(2:165, 2:177, 3:31, 21:90). All referred to love of Allah, and one also
referred to Allah's love for believers. Another stated that Allah does
not love unbelievers (3:32). A request online turned up a translation with
love in two more verses: one for believers and one for spouses (3:103,
7:189). Love was never once mentioned or encouraged for unbelievers, strangers, or
the lost. In my discussions with Muslims on their internet forums, they actually
attest that there is no such thing as an "unconditional love". They have no
concept of it even when you raise the issue of their own children. I believe
this all to be a root cause for the catastrophic condition of fundamental
Islamic perspectives.
Strong's Concordance lists up to 400 biblical instances of love in varied
forms. More than just merciful and all-knowing, God is loving and you would
expect that such a heart and desire would be conspicuous in any message he
ordains.
In the verses above, it is revealed through the Father when he is willing to give up
his son, through Jesus Christ when he is willing to give up his life, and
through Paul the apostle when he is willing to give up salvation, all so that
others might live. Muslims appear to regard such displays as a sign of weakness which is below Allah, but I believe most
people can understand it as
God reaching out to mankind with a love mankind can understand. As such,
I believe the unique compassion of the Bible and Jesus' message speaks
for itself.
